Derrick Evers is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Dallas-based Kaizen Development Partners (KDP), a full service commercial real estate development firm specializing in office and urban mixed-use developments. Mr. Evers brings a versatile and deep knowledge of development, master planning, entitlements, construction and capital markets. Mr. Evers has over twenty (20) years of extensive and diverse project management experience, ranging from healthcare, government and corporate to academic developments. Having been a serial entrepreneur, his vision and forward thinking continuously innovates and constantly challenges systemic norms with the singular object of achieving better outcomes for all stakeholders.
Prior to co-founding KDP, Mr. Evers served as CEO and Partner of Neal Richards Group (NRG). Under Mr. Evers’ leadership, NRG grew its business from a start-up in 2008 with zero assets to nearly a billion dollars of real estate in roughly seven (7) years. Mr. Evers brings a large company pedigree because of his many years at the Staubach Company (now JLL) under the leadership of Roger Staubach, and also the Trammell Crow Company (now CBRE) under the mentorship of CEO Bob Sulentic. Those great organizations helped influence Mr. Evers’ own strong sense of ethics and values for a client- first, entrepreneurial organization. That “continuous improvement” in real estate has manifested itself in the creation of KDP.
