KAI·ZEN /kīzen/ noun - A Japanese business philosophy centered on “continuous improvement.” In its purest form, “kaizen” is an empowerment philosophy within an organization that encourages every team member’s participation in process improvement, productivity and waste elimination. The underlying theory being that total participation in “kaizen” leads to improved products and improved profitability.
